Lyons Ferry State Park / Palouse Falls State Park

Lewis and Clark described the Palus Indian village in their journals and named the present-day Palouse River “Drewyer’s River” for George Drouillard. This park features spectacular cliffs carved by ice age floods and offers boating, hiking, fishing and water-skiing. Six miles up the road, experience the Palouse Falls as the Palouse River drops 198 feet over the basalt cliffs of Lower Palouse Canyon. Hwy 261, near Washtucna, Washington.
