Project Description:
Erect welcome signs along Highway 730 at eastern and western approaches to town. On October 19, 1805, the Lewis & Clark party camped on an island in the Columbia River at the site where the city of Irrigon is now located. The signs will welcome travelers to the city of Irrigon and commemorate the fact that this was a stopover for the Lewis & Clark party.
