Project Description:
In anticipation of increased numbers of visitors during the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial, Sherman County would like to continue the renovation of its RV park by adding ADA-accessible restrooms, shower, and laundry facilities, and paving the road through the park. The Sherman County RV park serves the public traveling with livestock, specifically those using Deschutes State Park on Interstate 84, along the Oregon route of Lewis & Clark Trail. |

Project Status:
A USFS grant awarded in 1998 was used to hire an architect to prepare construction documents for an ADA-accessible restroom and shower facility. The construction documents include plans, project specifications, and cost estimates that are complete and ready for bidding. The County received a $20,000 grant in 1999 from Oregon State Parks to add a laundry facility to the existing restrooms. However Sherman County would prefer to construct fully functional restrooms if funding were available. |
