Project Description:
Plan, design, and construct two military barracks for interpretive exhibits, events, and other interpretive programming at Ft. Stevens State Park. Each barrack is estimated at 30' x 90' with a cost of $750,000 each, plus $500,000 for exhibits. Ft. Stevens is the largest campground in the Pacific Northwest and hosts more than 5,000 visitors each day during the peak season. As a military museum, Ft. Stevens is ideal for highlighting the military role of the expedition. This is also an opportunity to disperse visitors traveling in the lower Columbia region of Oregon. |
