Project Description:

An art/natural history exhibit of the flora, fauna, and natural conditions the Lewis & Clark Expedition found in their two passages of the Sandy River. The exhibit will use various art media, largely from Troutdale artists and galleries, to depict the natural environment of the Sandy River Delta, utilizing an audio/visual system that describes the subject from the explorers' point of view, and then defines it from the Native American view.

Location: 732 E. Historic Columbia River Highway, Troutdale.

A grant is being sought the historical research on the project, loans of art work are anticipated for the duration of the exhibit, and the audio/visual equipment and construction of the exhibit will need funding.
